The Learning Experience – Boca Raton

We withdrew our child after the first day.

During the initial tour, we were very well taken care of and given strong reassurance about the program, including highlights of awards and standards. Unfortunately, the actual experience did not reflect what was presented.

Despite having her start date planned months in advance, when we arrived on 4/27/26 the center was not aware she was starting. We were told that the person I communicated with the whole time (Holly), is no longer working there, which is why they don’t have her paperwork. We were asked to complete paperwork (again) during peak drop-off while staff appeared understaffed and overwhelmed.

After completing paperwork we then got told that her assigned teacher was out sick, and the classroom appeared over capacity, another child had to be moved on the spot (I believe to another classroom) to make space for my daughter.

We drop her off with lots of mixed feelings, on top of that they gave my daughter dry cereal with a little pastry for breakfast.

When I asked as we were leaving after we dropped off our daughter about first-day updates and pickup guidance, I was told the center is short-staffed, flu is circulating across classrooms, and to “pick up whenever.” The tone and communication were not appropriate or reassuring.

I left the situation without reacting because no child or parent should witness my worrisome and the need to sit down with deeper consideration.

I attempted to contact HQ to provide this feedback directly but did not receive a call back.

For us, this experience raised concerns around preparation, communication, and overall stability, which led to our decision to withdraw.

My children were enrolled at this center, and initially everything seemed great. The tour and first week were exciting and aligned with what we were looking for. Unfortunately, after a few months, our experience completely changed.

My children were constantly getting sick and coming home with scratches. The most concerning incident was when my son came home with a large bump on the back of his head. We were asked to sign an incident form, but no one could clearly explain what happened. When we requested CCTV footage to understand the situation, we received no response at all, which was extremely alarming.

The director, Holly, was very rude and unprofessional when concerns were raised. Her attitude made communication difficult and dismissive, especially given the seriousness of the issues. Additionally, Teacher Erin showed clear impatience with children, which I personally witnessed. I immediately reported this to the assistant director, Tiffany.

During our time there, many children and teachers were leaving, which raised concerns about staff turnover and stability. When picking up my kids, they were often crying from hunger, forcing me to regularly bring snacks and milk.

Considering the very high tuition fees, this level of care and lack of transparency is unacceptable. For the amount charged, parents expect a safe, nurturing environment and clear communication. Unfortunately, this center did not meet those expectations.

This location is a total scam. We were searching for a daycare for our second child (under 2), and in Boca, options that accept children under two are very limited and fill up quickly if they are good.
During our initial visit, everyone was friendly. Our child attended for about five months, and nearly every day brought a new negative experience. Class assignments were changed randomly due to over-enrollment (rooms being full), teachers were changed constantly, and there was no consistency or stability. I saw 8 teachers assigned to that class in 5 months. Some days the front door didn’t work properly, and we had to wait several minutes just to be let inside and they don’t care at all!
I can list many more major issues, but I don’t want to waste any more time on this place. I’m sharing this review simply to help other parents make an informed decision.
One additional red flag: after we decided to move our child to another daycare, several other daycare centers asked why so many families have recently been leaving TLE. Something you may be able to verify if you visit other locations.
Also, be aware that the center provides incentives for positive reviews here, so I would not trust the ratings alone.
