Early Learning Academy – Boca Raton

I have sent both my children to ELA over the last 9 years in Boca and had a wonderful experience both times. The director there, Sheila Baumann, became like family and I always knew she had our best interest at heart. The owners also became like family and I always knew my kids were in good hands.

I’ll be 100% honest, I’m one of “those” moms. I stay up at night questioning every decision I’ve made that day pertaining to my child. Was it right? Am I doing the best possible thing for him? Do the people I’ve entrusted with him hold his best interest? Care about him? Treat him with love, respect, dignity? Is learning made fun there? Is he happy? You know how it goes lol. Let me just say ELA is a big YES to all of that. My son has been in ABA since he was 2 years old, we’ve never known anything else. When he showed signs of readiness for something new, I toured atleast 20 preschools. Some refused to just meet him once I said he had Autism. One place even refused to meet me when I said he had autism. Some places didn’t feel right to me, some were too overcrowded (I warned you, I’m that mom lol) It all truly broke my heart and was so discouraging. Ms. Sheila not only met me AND my son, she showed us compassion & went above and beyond for us. It’s 2 weeks into the school year & my son is thriving. ELA has an amazing student to teacher ratio, & the children learn while having FUN, too ( so important to me that curriculum is developmentally appropriate & that children have time to play, its how they learn best at this age). My son’s teacher is Ms. Silvia and he talks about her every single day ❤️. Ms. Desiree is also a gem. The school is staffed with loving teachers and administrators, I made the best choice for him for his introduction to early education without a doubt in my mind, & so will you if you enroll your child here. There’s no competition, believe me, I looked.

We absolutely love Early Learning Academy! Both of our children attended this preschool, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From day one, we felt confident and at peace knowing that our kids were in a safe, caring, and nurturing environment—safety has always been one of our top priorities, and the staff here goes above and beyond to ensure that.

One thing we especially appreciate is the location of the school. It’s not directly on a busy road—it’s tucked behind another building, which keeps it safely away from heavy traffic. That added layer of security gave us even more peace of mind during drop-off and pick-up times.

Everyone at the school is incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely invested in the kids’ growth and development. There’s always something engaging happening—whether it’s creative artwork, hands-on learning activities, or fun classroom projects. Our children were always excited to go to school and came home happy and full of stories.

One of the most impressive things was how well-prepared our son was for kindergarten. He graduated from Early Learning Academy already knowing how to read, which gave him a huge head start and built his confidence early on.
