Kevin James Salon

I recently visited Kevin James Salon for partial highlights and added a haircut with Micheal. My appointment was scheduled for 2:30pm, though I wasn’t taken to his chair until about 2:45pm.
I did appreciate Micheal’s technical work; I’m happy with the way he cut my hair and his overall approach to the highlights. However, the overall experience did not match what I expected from a higher-end salon.
There was a noticeable lack of warmth from the front desk upon arrival. Throughout my time there, the receptionist openly complained about another customer within earshot and appeared visibly frustrated by what seemed like routine interactions. It created an uncomfortable first impression and didn’t feel aligned with a luxury experience.
During processing time, Micheal rotated through several other clients; at one point having four people in his chair consecutively. I was ultimately passed to someone else for the wash and gloss, and another stylist finished my service. While I understand that assistants are common in salons, this wasn’t communicated upfront, and it left me feeling more like I was part of a production line rather than receiving personalized service.
I chose this salon because of its location and reputation, hoping for a more elevated, client-centered experience. While I’m pleased with the final cut and color, the overall atmosphere and level of attentiveness fell short of what I expected especially when paying over $400 (tip included). At this time, I’m unsure if I will return.

This is my 2nd cut from Isabel Morales of Kevin James Salon. I really love how she cuts my hair. She’s very professional. She listens to me as her client and helps me to get the hair I want to achieve. She takes her time to cut and style the my hair. I definitely appreciate her dedication to cutting hair and styling. The salon’s website mentioned that hair cutting/styling is Isabel’s gift and I truly believed that. Will definitely recommend her to people who are looking for a good, worthy haircut and style.
