If you dont take part in the tons of different art related camps, classes, workshops, and free use space they make available to the public, you can always enjoy the beautiful outdoor esthetics. I love taking mt daughter here and walking around their courtyard and campus. Its very quaint and artsy. The staff are ALWAYS friendly and helpful. The kids and adults that attend their programs are very welcoming and diverse. Very comfortable place to start you or your family’s art journey or to explore and expand as an artist on your own. I will always come back here!

I do not want to judge a whole program on one experience, but holy crap. I recently took one of their photography classes with Barry Schein, and it was the biggest waste of time. It was 18 hours in total, and all of the information taught could be covered in 30 minutes to an hour (He would forget what he taught us from week to week and go over the same information, refusing to listen to us when we tried to explain that he had already taught us the information). Barry has a very blunt/kinda aggressive personality and even spoke harshly to a student while the student was taking notes (Barry was super hard to follow when he taught). There was no teaching guide or syllabus of lesson plans to follow, allowing Barry to teach whatever he wanted, which often resulted in long, sometimes inappropriate or controversial stories. The course cost hundreds of dollars, which was frustrating because you often left confused and had to figure out the questions on YouTube. Some students did not stay for all 6 sessions, and on the last day of class, we heard from the front desk administrator that they were canceling courses because not enough students had signed up. There is no refund or cancellation reimbursement, so just be aware. If you want to learn photography, I would recommend finding another instructor or an educational series on YouTube (save your money and time).

My son had an absolutely wonderful experience at the Armory Art Center! From start to finish, the staff was exceptional—welcoming, accommodating, and incredibly supportive. What made this experience even more special is that my son has never really been into art, yet he walked away inspired, excited, and already asking when he can come back!
The environment was both fun and nurturing, and it truly brought out a side of him we hadn’t seen before. I’m so grateful to the team for creating such a positive and engaging space for kids to explore their creativity. Highly recommend to any parent looking for a unique, enriching experience for their child—even if they don’t think they’re “into art.” The Armory Art Center might just surprise you like it did us!

This place is amazing. Giving veterans an opportunity to be emerged in expressive healing art. Offering many mediums of art and always very kind and professional. They also hold very special art showings and events.

Enjoyed the Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel The Exhibition. It was a little crowded at first as I felt there were a lot of older attendees who couldn’t figure out the sounds and that the art work were not in order. Once they got the hang of it we were able to enjoy the display. We had our ear sets in most of the time, it was a little loud for a gallery but given the excitement and the interest we easily forgot that we were there for the art work. At one point I heard a attendee complain the paintings were up on the ceiling… making me laugh and respond as in the Vatican and she looked puzzled. Overall the actual pictures are amazing and brings a piece of this historic art close and personal. I loved the movie at the end and the comedy with history. Staff was very attentive and we enjoyed the time. Took about 1.50 to actually enjoy each picture.
