My family has been enjoying the Cox Science Center and Aquarium for years! The exhibits and aquarium are great, and there is so much to do for the whole family. My toddler enjoyed a lot of it, especially the play area.

We visited with our 1 year old and, personally, I felt the museum was a bit expensive for what it offers. It may be more enjoyable for older kids, since some of the exhibits seemed less engaging for younger children. The space is also fairly small, and parts of it felt a little outdated compared to other children’s museums we’ve visited. It’s still a nice indoor option, but I was expecting a bit more for the price.

Great museum! Small but it has plenty to keep the kids entertained! Outside they have a bunch of animated animals, mining creek, bubble station, amphitheater and splash pad. Inside they have a padded play area for the littles, ball play area, aquarium, coloring stations, flight simulator and more. My 3.5 year old can easily spend 2 hours here

Wow! This center is undergoing a major renovation to be completed in 2027. Still worth a visit. It’s going to be fabulous. Very large property with walking trails, ponds, playgrounds! Take the kids!

This place is pretty small and undergoing renovations as mentioned in other reviews. I only went because I am part of the passport program through a different science center membership so entry was free for me and a guest.

What is cool for adults: flight simulator, observatory, fish tanks

    We spent 2 hours here.

Mostly things are for kids but I loved the above, I also liked walking outside and seeing the animatronic dinosaurs that was pretty cool.

The observatory was awesome, the woman who was working was kind enough to re open the telescope after she closed it for the day. We came for the last showing. We got to see the sun and the sun spots. So unique to use a telescope during the day.

The flight simulator was awesome too, never seen that at a science museum before. They dumbed down the controls but it was still fun to steer. And I landed the plane successfully!
