What an absolutely amazing free museum to take the family too. We learned tons of information about manatees and the waterways nearby. We unfortunately did not see any manatees on our visit but we did get to watch a sea turtle living his best life. I would go again in a heartbeat. Adorable gift shop onsite with reasonable prices for everyone to take home a keepsake.

This is a great find for anyone in the Jupiter area. It took less than 30 minutes to get there. There’s free parking and free admission. The manatee season is November 15th through March 31st. The colder the water, the more likely the manatee go to this area of warm water provided by FPL. The volunteers we spoke to were friendly and knowledgeable. In addition to seeing 3 manatee, we saw many other fish species swimming around. They have an indoor area with displays of information about manatee, their habitats, and other pertinent information as well as a nice gift shop.

We had a really great experience at Manatee Lagoon! The kids absolutely loved it. They were so excited to see the fish and manatees up close — it was such a special wildlife experience for them.

Even though the place is small, it offers so much. We enjoyed exploring the little museum, watching the short educational movie, and seeing the manatee skeleton display, which was very interesting and informative.

It may not be a large attraction, but being able to see wildlife that close made it truly memorable. Most importantly, it made the kids very happy — and that alone made it worth the visit!

Definitely a lovely spot for families looking for a simple, educational, and meaningful outing.

The weather was cool, so the manatees were huddled in large groups. It was quite an amazing site. The water was clear and it was a gorgeous day. The gift shop was also great…tiny but great. Best of all, there is entry fee. Absolutely loved it.

Manatee Lagoon is a wonderful place to visit, especially for families with kids. The facility is very clean and well-maintained, making it a comfortable environment to explore and learn. It’s an excellent educational spot where children can learn about manatees, their habitat, and conservation in a fun and engaging way.

We saw manatees during our visit, and the upstairs viewing area made it much easier to spot them clearly. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and happy to answer questions, which really enhanced the experience.

Overall, it’s a great stop in Florida for learning, relaxing, and enjoying these gentle creatures up close. Highly recommended for families and nature lovers!
