Unfortunately, my experience with HEED Adventures leaves much to be desired. As a family, we were excited about the opportunity for our daughter to be a part of the HEED program. However, due to unforeseen family obligations, we had to withdraw her enrollment.
This is where our trouble began. Despite having paid an initial deposit of $1,000, we were surprised to learn that there were no provisions for refunding any amount above the standard application fee or deposit ($500), especially given that no services were actually rendered. (This is somewhat unclear on their website, as it mentions a “deposit” but not specifically “deposits” VS. “tuition” with regards to refund policy).
Further exacerbating the situation was the lack of communication from HEED. It took three separate emails to receive any form of response. When we finally heard back, it was simply to inform us that the delay was due to their “vacation.”
While everyone deserves time off, we found it shocking that an organization purportedly grounded in “Christian values” would lack a sense of responsibility in handling customer communication, and further, be comfortable retaining money they did not earn.
We initially chose HEED Adventures due to their reputation for high standards and ethical conduct. It’s disappointing to see this not reflected in our experience. I can’t help but remark, I suppose the exorbitant vacations have to be funded somehow.
Our experience was definitely a letdown. We truly hope HEED Adventures can learn from our situation, reconsider their policies, and uphold the values they purport to stand for.
Would I recommend HEED Adventures based on our experience? Regrettably, no.

This is our second year with HEED Adventures and we absolutely love it! The program has been a tremendous blessing for my son, for me, and for our entire family. The thought of homeschooling my son often overwhelmed me. HEED’s approach coupled with their ongoing support has truly made it seamless. At HEED, a child’s potential of learning is maximized with live, hands-on activities and projects that supplement every lesson. This really makes the material that was taught come alive in such an exponentially rich way. This approach has truly made my son experience how much fun learning can truly be. Most importantly, at HEED, children are taught in a nurturing, safe, loving, and Christ-centered environment. Having been in the traditional school environment, once at HEED, you witness first-hand the HEED difference; moreover, you see the difference in your child. Our son is in 5th grade now and in the two years he has been at HEED Adventures, we have seen him soar. Each teacher educates with great expertise, planning, and tactfulness. Most importantly, the teachers pour into your child the love of Jesus. This, in tandem with the curriculum, live hands-on activities, and small class size, truly makes this a stellar and exceptional learning experience for the child and the parent. The directors at HEED continually exhibit such genuine dedication, commitment, and love towards everything they do. They provide continual support for parents and families to help guide you every step of the way as you navigate through this journey. Their mom-support meetings on Thursday mornings are wonderful as you get to meet with other moms in an open forum-like setting providing the opportunity to share their individual experiences in order to best learn from one another. It is a platform of great spiritual support for moms grounded in prayer, faith, and shared experiences. All of this underscored by their immense and unending love for Jesus is what truly sets this program apart from anything else out there. Our son will be starting HEED Middle School next year and he is so excited. As parents, we feel so blessed that our son will be achieving his middle school milestone with HEED and embarking upon this journey with the partnership of HEED’s dedicated team of directors and teachers. It is my heartfelt desire to encourage you to experience the HEED difference. You will be glad you did! Proverbs 22:6 – “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”

HEED was an excellent tool during our home education journey. The classes were superior quality full of valuable content. We couldn’t have imagined more professional teachers. They enhanced our home education and provided opportunities we couldn’t have offered at home. The HEED Directors provided personalized guidance and direction regarding courses based upon our family goals and our future educational plans. Their knowledge of what colleges are looking for in future students was vast and exceedingly helpful. In addition, HEED offers beautiful opportunities for socializing and making friends. The classes are engaging and the teachers connect with their students making the learning fun!
My family is forever grateful to HEED for being a huge part of our home education and preparing our daughter for college and life in general.

HEED proved to be a fantastic experience for my children. The Directors and instructors were incredible! Once graduated, my children moved on with a firm foundation academically, relationally and spiritually. We are grateful for the many ways HEED enhanced and supported our homeschool experience. It is easy to recommend HEED with the highest regards.

All three of my children took classes at HEED. It was a fantastic experience. The teachers are extremely high quality and are there because they love what they do. The classes are designed to not only prepare the kids for college but also spark a love of learning in each subject. That is a combination that is hard to find in a day and age where most education is just rote learning. I especially appreciate that the administrators at HEED realize that they are not taking over for the home school parent. Unlike a lot of other co-ops, they provide the instruction but still respect the individual needs of each child and family. HEED is the perfect choice to help you home school successfully.
